Hi friends! Welcome to my new blog site, which hopefully won’t be as temperamental as my iWeb site was. :)

Today — between interviews — I visited the The Roman Art from the Louvre exhibit at the Seattle Art Museum (on view thru May 11). What a fabulous display! There are over 180 works of art (including mosaics, frescoes, sculptures, sarcophagi, marble reliefs, and glass & metal vessels), showcasing nearly 300 years of imperial Roman life and history. This is the largest exhibit of Roman art to ever leave the Louvre in Paris and traveled here via secret transportation. The exhibit is organized into 8 different richly painted rooms — Rome and its Empire; the Emperor; Citizenship; Civil Life & Military Service; Foreigners, Freedmen & Slaves; Religion; the World of the Dead; and the Legacy of Rome — and its history is fascinating.
